Singing with your child is best musical foundation you can give them! Even if you lack confidence, singing little songs and playing singing games with your child is more important to their musical development than the most beautiful recorded music.
Composer Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967) believed that children have an instinctive love of singing, and that children use music naturally to express their emotions and process their experiences. He developed the Kodály Method, a philosophy of music education based on singing traditional children's songs and folk music, on which our classes are based.
Maria is a trained primary school teacher, and a passionate and experienced music educator. She helped to establish the Kiwileles programme, creating music for thousands of New Zealand children since 2007. She is also trained in the Kodály Method, and holds an Australian Kodály Certificate (Early Childhood).
Our classes provide a repertoire of children's songs, rhymes, and games for you and your child, and build your confidence to explore this important first musical step with your child.

Classes for 2026
We are no longer offering weekly classes. Please contact us to register your interest in any future weekly classes. We are unsure when these will start again but we will be contacting everyone on our waiting list - so make sure you don't miss out!

Want to do some singing too?
You don't need to be singer to bring your child to our classes! You can join in with us as much or as little as you wish. But we believe that singing is a skill that almost everyone can learn. It's easier when you're a child, so good on you for giving the small person in your life that opportunity!
But maybe you'll feel inspired to give singing a go too...our all-comers' choirs for grown-ups might be just the thing!
All Together Now currently has 6 choirs (including two especially for beginners) in Auckland, plus one in Taupō. Come and give it a go!
